At most you need three for admission. Colleges which require IIs require two; however, two colleges, Georgetown and Johns Hopkins, which recommend but do not require IIs, recommend three; if you are intending to apply to those two colleges, three is advised, otherwise you need only two for any college that requires or recommends IIs. Beyond the needed number, you should not assume that submitting more IIs is going to give you an edge for admission. You cannot even assume that the persons who decide admission will even see more than two scores or know you have more since the computer file they review may be pre-screened to eliminate any extra scores.

Most colleges that require IIs, use the highest two and thus submitting more is advantagous only if they have higher scores than ones you may have already submitted.

In your case, getting a higher score than the biology may be a wise course if you are applying to Georgetown or Johns Hopkins. Also, you don’t say intended major. Colleges that require or recommend IIs usually require or recommend a math and a science if applying engineering or science and at least one of those, Caltech, requires the math to be Math 2. Some may require or recommend a math, and possibly math 2, for some other majors such as business. You migt want to check requirements of colleges to which you intend to apply to decide whether you need the Math 2. Otherwise, be aware that submitting a math 1 and math 2 will count as one subject test toward any requirement because you need two in different subjects to satisfy the requirement.

You may actually want a to take a language for an entirely different reason. Though it is not likely to add anything to the admission decision, there are some colleges (Vandy for one) that require a language SAT for placement purposes after you are admitted and others that actually give college credit or waive a college language requirement for high scores.

Also, you state you are not sending your biology scxore. Be aware that you must send it to any college that requires all SAT and SAT subject test scores, Yale, Penn, and Cornell among them. You will also be required to send those colleges any other SAT II scores you get in the future.

if they only look at the top two scores then do you think i should reconsider taking bio? i took it freshman year and idk if i would be able to get into the 700s

You should not retake Bio unless you really feel you can improve the score to above 700. Except for Georgetown and Johns Hopkins, your other two tests give you what you need. You should be considering taking more tests only if (a) it is really needed such as a school you will be applying to requires math 2 for your intended major, or (b) you actually believe you can get a higher score in any of the tests you list than that 750 you already have in math, (c) you need a language test at a aprticular college to which you are going to apply for placement or can get college credit with a high language score.

okay i think i am going to definitely take spanish for placement and then math II because i know i can get an 800 and us history because i will already be taking the ap and it could be practice fore it
