how many schools are you applying to??

I think the average is probably about 6. I know people who applied to one, but I know people who applied to 15+.

applied to one? as in a community college?

or got in ED??

i sincerely hope its the latter

I have a friend applying to 18 and her parents are encouraging her to apply to more.

I got into Northwestern ED, but I started 9 (and completed 8). I withdrew all of them. I live in CA and I barely realized I applied to 3 CA schools (UCs—Berkeley, LA, Irvine) and 3 IL schools (Northwestern, U of Chicago, Bradley)—it was a coincidence; I know absolutely nothing about IL. The others were: Mount Holyoke college, NYU and Hood College.

I didn't intend to start so many applications but at a certain point in time I was so certain I would get rejected that I applied to whatever app didn't require money. lol

Everyone should apply ED! It makes you feel so...relieved!

hehe i'm applying to 9 counting all the UCs as one...

still about 4 apps to go:(

I don't think its that smart to advise everyone to apply ED. It is definitely not for everyone.

I applied to 4, all UCs.
LA, Irvine, Berkeley, San Diego

i applied to 10 schools...

3 safeties, 3 reaches, 4 matches

I applied to one school, The University of Tennessee. I planned it out, because I did early action, that if I got deferred, that I would have time to apply to my back up school. However, since I got in, like I figured that I would, I saved myself time and my mom some money.

Applying to 14:
(Deferred ED and already accepted to 1 rolling)

8 reaches, 2 matches, 4 safeties

OK, I've only applied to 6... but there's 3 or 4 more. Oy. Too many- I told myself I'd only do 5. Heh.

I applied to two schools already (University of Pittsburgh and University of Minnesota Twin Cities) and plan on applying to 1 more (Temple). I got into Pitt but my mother wants me to apply to 2 states schools but I doubt if I actually do it.

I applied to 6.

5 reaches, 1 safetyish.

My plan is that I should almost definitely get into safety (UConn) and hopefully at least one of my reaches (Brown, Cornell, UPenn, JHU, and Georgetown).

I've applied to 9 and I'm done. I've pretty much got 2 safeties, 4 matches, and 3 reaches.

3 total

2 EA (UVM, Beloit)
1 ED (Oberlin)

got into all of them and i'm done now

haha... uhm.

I applied to 17 schools. (9 Reach, 5 Match, 3 Safety) I've been accepted into 3 schools so far.

Oh yea, and my mom's credit card bill has been off the wazoo (haha I definitely just made that up... it sounded right for the occasion).

Applying to 14 schools total, 4 of them are UC's

Got rejected from Dartmouth ED, so 9 more privates now.

...come on Northwestern, Penn, or Claremont McKenna...

5
McGill, UBC, Ottawa, Queen's, Harvard.

But mostly, I just want to go to McGill. Or maybe UBC if they give me some type of scholarship. Ottawa is for the Page Program, but I don't really want to live in Ottawa. Queen's is a filler for OUAC - which costs 100$ for up to 3, so I picked another. Harvard, well... I got deferred EA. It was mostly to see if I could get in, but if I still do, I might go there too.
