How many schools are you applying to?

I'm applying to about 10 schools (to be on the safe side) - some people are applying to 3 and some people are applying to 15..

If one school costs $60 (US) for application, 10 schools would cost like $600 -right? and that's in US dollars too.. Quite expensive when I know I'm not going to get into half of the schools..

I was just wondering how many schools u guys r applying to. And where ?

I'm applying to:
Johns Hopkins (match school)
Duke (match/reach)
Northwestern (match)
Dartmouth (big reach school)
Boston (safe/match)
UC Berkely (match/reach)
U of Penn (reach)
Columbia/Stanford (big big big reach schools)
WUSTL (match)
North Carolina Chapel Hill (?) (safe/match but don't really want to go there) Rice (?) (reach reach, and dont want to really go)
Princeton (REACH hahaha as if I'd ever get in - just for fun)

Reach:
MIT
Stanford
Harvard
Princeton
Northwestern
Duke
Cornell
JHU
Yale

Match:
Georgia Tech
UT Austin

Safety:
Michigan State

So far, this is my list but I'm going to cut it down to 8 schools or so...

Yale
Amherst
Swarthmore
Middlebury
Grinnell
Kenyon
Bowdoin
Carleton
Macalester
Beloit
Lawrence

What do you think? Good list?

Well, I don't know any of those schools u listed excpet for swathmore, yale, amherst, bowdoin.
But I heard that bowdoin does not really have the 'college spirit'.

Oh and plot swarthmore onto my list.
