I have 13 on my list, personally. (Kind of awesome, since it's an unlucky number and everything. Luckily I'm not superstitious...)

2 high reaches
some reaches...
a bunch in the middle
3 safeties
xD

wow I only have 6 and I thought I was pushing it. (atleast money wise)
2 reaches
2 middle
2 safeties

1 Safety
10 Reaches.

My daughter is applying for 20 schools and my coworker's son who has perfect ACT score is applying for 18 schools. I think only about 6 schools are reaches and rest of them are safeties for both of them.

12.

3 star schools (thats what i call my reach schools)
5 objectives
4 safeties

3 serious applications.

1 Good match, 2 Safeties.

By the way, I was already accepted to the good match ED. So I opted not to apply much anyplace else.

3 high reaches
1 slight reach
1 match
5 safeties

I applied 8 so far..4 UC's and 4 CSU's and going to apply 1 private university ;]

1 or 2 schools, im a junior though

1 reach
6 safeties

Lol I think I should have applied to more schools

10, but now I wish I didn't so so many.

12...

5 reaches
3 matches (accepted EA to two)
4 safeties (accepted to all)

I seriously regret applying to so many schools. I feel like I should have looked closer at my reaches to really choose the ones I LOVED, instead of looking at prestige as well. And I definitely didn't need 4 safeties (two of which I NEVER would have even considered, and one that I would have really hated going to). The definition of a safety is a sure bet... I should have just applied to one or two.

Of course, we all look back with 20/20 vision, right? I was sure I wouldn't get into BOTH my EA schools (I doubted I would even get into ONE!), in which case more choices would have been more desirable. And I am also depending heavily on FA, so many choices are a good thing, especially if I get into any of my to schools.

Wow... I only applied to 4.

3 Safeties
1 Match

I didn't even bother applying to a reach school; since I wanted to stay in state, my only choice would be Cornell for a reach school.

well, I applied to 7:
3 reaches
1 match
2 safeties (although its the colleges themselves that are the safeties since I applied to combined programs at both schools which would actually be reaches...)

6: 3 reaches, 3 safeties.

4 .

I had 8.
2 safeties
3 kind of matches
2 sort of reaches
1 really high reach.

1 safety
1 low reach
3 reaches

3 high reaches,
2 high matches/low reaches,
3 matches,
3 safeties (got into 2 already)

TOO MANY. As in, 12.

Whatever I have a job, so I'm paying for it myself. You only get one shot.
