How many schools are you guys applying to?

I am applying to 23; the application fees are waived. 6 Safeties, 13 Targets and 4 Reaches. 11 schools are common apps, 2 are CSU system, 7 UC system and that leaves 3 independent applications. Not to bad, only need about 8 essays since some schools have supplementary essays and the CSU (Cal Polies) do not have an essay.

I think I’m around 15, I’ll probably cut that number to around 10 though. All of them use the Common App except for the UCs. My school list isn’t very balanced right now, as I have 3 safeties and 12 reaches, so I really need to get going on that.

I haven’t yet finalized my list, but I’ll probably apply to around 10. All common app I believe. Lots of supplements though, obviously.

I think I have officially finalized my list, and it’s at 10. 1 reach, 2 safeties, 7 matches (although really, some of my matches are more like safeties).

15 or 20, but that includes all 8 ivys just for fun

only one!! UT-Austin, if they reject me I’ll do the CAP program.

7 or 8. I’m not going crazy. Nowhere out of state, except for maybe New Hampshire or Rhode Island.

It’s between 8 and 10 for me. The two Ivies on my list will probably be the first ones dropped off if I decide to cut down.

I’m applying to 8. Applications are expensive and there is no reason to apply to schools that I wouldn’t be willing to go to.

Is there a prize for most applications?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using CC App

I’m applying to 10, 5 reaches, 3 matches, and 2 safeties

I will apply to 16 (6 reaches 7 matches 3 safeties)

23 is too grandiose of number of applications… If money plays a factor in these applications (it costed me about 60$ an application!), I advise you to cut back because 23 college applications are honestly superfluous. You should apply to a more expedient amount such as 10. 2 or 3 safety schools are good enough, just pick the schools you desire the most. After all you will only have one choice after you are accepted.

Nine colleges, 4 reaches, 3 matches, 2 safeties.

I am also doing it for financial aid. I don’t know which colleges would be the cheapest for me. I can’t rely on state schools; the budget cuts are just brutal. The worst thing that can happen is I get accepted but can’t afford any. Taken one safety off the list.

about 5 and im ttly agreeing with zadrii.
thats about $150 of applications, and its only 5 colleges. o.o
(applications about around $30)

Five: 1 reach, 3 match, 1 safety. That’s $205 alone. Ahh, I better get some waivers.

10-12: 6-8 reaches, 3 matches, 1 safety – that’s the plan, anyway.

Probably around 15. Depends on SAT scores, though…

7: 4 reaches, 2 high matches, 1 safety
