How many schools are you guys planning to apply for?

Is it something like 2 safety, 2 reach, and 2 match?

i’m applying to like 10. probably way too many haha!

btw, the title of this post should be “how many schools are you guys planning to apply to?”
(sorry, i just couldn’t help but point that out!)

“To how many schools do you plan to apply?”

I think in total 14, but it’s only 8 applications, since with UK schools you get to choose five with just one application, and same for UCs.

yes, either way is fine…

probably nine

holy crap
try 4 for me

At least 10, with 2 of them pure safeties and 2 of them reaches.

lol im with louise. depending on visits around 6 or so. and the rule of thumb is around 3 for each(Safety, match, reach)

12-18

sucks.

1 safety, 3-4 matches, and a ton of reaches

I’m going to apply EA to

Reachish
Match (No EA, but they said they will reply within 3-4 weeks)
Match/Safteyish (This “EA” is Dec, 15. so… whatever)

Anyway, then I will pick of safety - if I don’t get into my first two (since third comes in 2010).

Don’t end a written (formal) sentence with a preposition (I am old school).

3 schools

I don’t see the purpose in applying to 15-18 schools, just more things to waste my time.

^^And your parent’s money. I agree; it’s overkill.

I’m applying to five. Anymore than 6 is just plain ridiculous. It’s a waste of money and time.

By the way, 5 out of the 6 are state schools in Virginia. Yes, money IS an issue, and it SHOULD be an issue for everyone unless he or she is affluent.

I’m applying to 12-15 schools. Aid is an issue, so I’m shopping for the best merit aid package.
