So right now i have a 1710 and need to get it above 2000+. (560 CR,570M,580W) I usually do about 1 to 2 sections a day, review them, study vocab and read some of the SAT advice. I am only doing a few sections a day cause i am scared that i will run out of test material. I already did half of the blue book and did 2 tests on the online class. I am taking the Oct SAT which i have over a month to prepare for. Can i get up?
As xiggi said, running out of tests is a canard.
Do 3-4 sections a day + some vocab and spare one day a week for a full length. There is a plethora of sat material from TCB to be found online.
The advice above should result in as much as 5 hours per day. Can you concentrate in a focused way for that long? if not, cut back. But make sure for every section you take, you spend as long reviewing as you did taking. The review is where the learning happens.
It usually takes me about 45 minutes to an hour to do each section and review every answer, so it would be a bit overwhelming
Don’t do too much otherwise you’ll probably either waste time or step back for awhile. You are really the only judge of what you can handle.
okay thank you!
Here. There is no way you’ll run out.

@CHD2013 4 sections would be around 1 hour 20 mins. Make that 2 hours with error review. Also vocab takes me max 20 mins a day. Also if you’re taking up to an hour to complete a single section, somethings up. All in all I never do over 3 hours of studying any given day. But yeah this can be adjusted to everyone’s preferences.
^Most reading sections are 25 minutes and the average section is 23.3 minutes so its over 1.5 hours for 4 sections. I’m suggesting that the review should take at least as long as the time to take the tests, so the tests with review should take more than 3 hours. Add just a little daily review of past errors and you’re easily at an hour per section. Your suggestion about review time takes away from the most important part of the learning process.
