I've always wondered this, but for those of us in the USA, how many states have you guys been to? I've been to seven (I don't count Washington and Oregon because I've only been there for airport layovers).

Alaska - Home state. It's a pretty cool place, but it also gets chilly in the winter.

Arizona - You know how Hoover Dam is literally the border between Nevada and Arizona? I stepped across the border line, stood there for a few seconds, then went back to Nevada. It still counts though.

California - I went there when I was eight to go to Disneyland. I went again when I was eleven. Those were the coolest vacations ever.

Colorado - I drove through there on the way to New Mexico. We flew into Durango and drove to New Mexico from there. Durango is a pretty cool little town though.

Hawaii - I've taken a few trips there. It's really warm (duh). Practically everyone in Alaska goes there on vacations to escape the cold.

Nevada - I have tons of family that live in Las Vegas, so my family and I go there often to visit them. As a result, I've been to Las Vegas at least five or six times. Did I mention how cool Hoover Dam is? I'm not even into sciency stuff that much, but I was actually really interested in learning the science behind the dam.

New Mexico - Sorry to anyone that lives there, but New Mexico has to be the most boring state known to man. I went to northwestern New Mexico for a wedding and there was literally nothing to do. It was literally a flat, dusty desert sprinkled with snow. It was awful.

What about you guys? Since my travels have mostly been limited to the southwestern U.S, maybe you guys can share your travels.

Florida (live here), GA, SC, NC, TN, KY, PA, NJ, NY, MI, CT, RI, MA, NH, ME, OH, Indiana, MN, ND, SD, CO, IA, WY, TX, OK, AK, AL, VA, WV, MS, LA, Montana, WI, IL, and NE. I think that’s all of them. My brother lives in WY and dad’s family is all over the Midwest. My mom’s family is in the northeast. We drive everywhere because I have 6 siblings so it’s cheaper that way.

19, not including airports [Alabama (born), Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana (lived), Massachusetts (boarding school), Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas (lived), Vermont, Wyoming].

Soon to be 21! [North Carolina and Virginia/D.C.]

Kentucky (live here), Ohio, West Virginia, Virginia, Indiana, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Maryland, Washington DC (does that count?), Georgia, Alabama, Florida

Actually got out of the airport

States I have driven through: Oklahoma, Alabama, Arizona, Kansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, New Mexico, Arizona, and probably a few more xD

Georgia (live here), and then I’ve visited the states alphabetically from Alabama to Iowa. Visited Maryland and Virginia this year. Would’ve gone further if not for baby brothers being born…

Stayed a few weeks:
Florida
New York
(also, Washington, D.C.)

Stayed a few days:
Virginia
Tennessee
West Virginia

Stayed under 24 hours (doesn’t include driving through or layovers):
Delaware
Vermont
Connecticut
Georgia
Indiana
Michigan
New Hampshire

So the total is 21 states. Pretty well traveled, but as you can see concentrated on the eastern side of the Mississippi. I really hope to be able to go to California some day.

(note, this list is “at a time,” so while I’ve been to New Hampshire several times for skiing and that might total to over a day, I’ve never stayed there overnight. And multiple trips to Tennessee would total over a week)

Arizona- Home State, I love the weather and some of the people, terrible education system though.

California- Go here almost every summer, Sea World, Disneyland, Legoland, Universal Studios, or the beach.

Nevada- Been to Vegas a few times, not that interesting.

Utah- I’ll stay in Park City for a week during the summer for the small town atmosphere and the cool weather.

Colorado- I went here for Chess Nationals in 3rd Grade, I also have a friends who moved here. It’s pretty nice.

I have pretty much been nowhere, not even to Mexico. I finally get to go back east next summer for the first time, it’ll be my only time before college. I won’t leave the country until Junior year either when my school goes to Italy and Greece.

California: Home state
Nevada: Went there in 2nd grade with family.
Hawaii: Vacation there in summer after 7th grade
Puerto Rico (territory): Vacation after 8th grade
Florida: Flying there tommorow to get on a cruise

Florida (born), Colorado (lived), New Mexico (lived), Ohio (lived), California, Utah, Arizona, Massachusetts, Illinois, Nevada, Kentucky, And Texas. I’ve also drove by a ton of states, but I’m too lazy to list them. :p
