How many students are in Penn State/Jefferson BS/MD each school year? Would like to know a little bit about the ratio from admission process such as how many apply; how many interview; how many get offer; how many attend?

I don’t see recent class numbers/profile posted. The acceptance rate is likely in the single digits and stats far above the minimum levels that are required per the website. https://science.psu.edu/interdisciplinary-programs/premed-med-bsmd

You can reach out to a University Park admissions rep and/or Dr. Markle, the program head, to ask questions about the program. Note I would not recommend leading with how many/what proportion of students are accepted. https://science.psu.edu/interdisciplinary-programs/premed-med-bsmd/admission-requirements

A 3.5 sGPA is required to stay in the program, and minimum MCAT of 504 to move on to med school portion. This sample curriculum for the 3 years of undergrad gives you a sense of the semester course loads. https://bulletins.psu.edu/undergraduate/colleges/eberly-science/premedical-medical-bs/#suggestedacademicplantext

Also look at costs, typically you will qualify for regular undergrad financial aid the first 3 years, then fin aid is usually limited for the 4 years of MD school. Good luck.

I know someone in the program who said that about 40-45 students get in each year. The amount that actually go varies from year to year (about 20 people coming in for this year’s class, but about 40 the year before)
