I was wondering how many subject tests I need to take for USC. I was planning on taking only Math Level 2 and US History but I've heard that USC wants 3. is this true?

none, at least when i applied last year (im now freshmen) they didnt require any

None are required. Although I took two, I never sent the scores in and was admitted with a merit scholarship.

SAT Subject Tests are optional for most students (see below) but strongly recommended. These exams can be very helpful in evaluating scholarship applicants.

If you attend a high school not recognized by one of the regional accrediting associations or if you are home-schooled, you are required to take three SAT Subject Tests, (including one of the math exams), in addition to the ACT.

If you send in the SAT I, USC will also see your SAT II. There is no need to send in SAT II.
