Do colleges ever see how many times you have taken the ACT? I know that when you send the scores, the reports ask for the specific testing date that you wish to send. Does this mean that all other scores are never discovered?

basically u can take it however many times u want until u get the score of your choice. u can use scorechoice to send ur best score. So if you take it 7 times and on the 7th time u score lets say a 33 and thats ur best. U only send that one and colleges never see ur whimpy 20 or 25 or 27

thrills4ever, are you sure about that?

It is true, you can take it as many times as you wish, and only the one test sitting you wish to be shown will be.

can act be given outside the US?

I know someone who took the ACT six times, and got the same score three times.

is ACT easier than Sat??

I heard it was the other way around, the SAT was easier than the ACT, but it probably depends on the person. For example the math is undisputably easier on the SAT because it test lower level math skills, so someone who isn't strong in that might take the SAT, but like I said, its's
different for everyone.

ACT has more questions in a shorter time frame so people who work quickly have an advantage. It also has a very harsh curve.

SAT is slower paced and has a better curve.

I thought that the SAT was much easier.

I think the ACT is easier, I know a kid who took it four times and got the same score each time

I think you can in fact give in your best score

On the Common Application, they ask for each of the ACT scores. What do you do? Lie? Say you only took it once or never depending on the score....?

You can take all exams as many times as you want..
just keep making the companies richer...

aren't they non profit?
