After High School has ended and everything, how many times would you have taken the ACTs? or did.

How many times will I have taken it? Twice. How many times should I have taken it? Once. My score went down the second time in every section (thus killing my hope of a superscore) -.-

I only took it once. I was completely focusing on the SATs but then decided to take the ACT right before the admissions deadline.

Just once. I didn't think it was worth taking it twice since I felt that I did the best job possible the first time around. Why torture myself a second time?

twice. Long story....my reading section went down 9 points

Twice. I did great the first time, but it didn't include the essay, so I had to do it agian.

I did the same thing as Ray.

twice.... first time i was well below my practice scores.... second time i was above on some sections and below on others... overall I was about where i wanted to be...

February will be my 6th if not 7th or 8th? time taking it. Sorry I lost track

once so far, retaking in february. i will not take it a third time unless my february score is, god forbid, lower. my first time was great, im just hoping for a lil better.

only once, now in february.

My older son took ACT twice
E-26,M-29,R-21,S-28, Comp 26 (04/05) HS Junior year
E-30,M-29,R-30,S-33, Comp 31 (10/05) HS Senior year
Scores inproved after a 6 (2 hour/class) "Crash Course to the ACT"
Received Appointments to West Point & USAFA
Now a freshman at USAFA

Middle son has taken ACT & SAT three times (self imposed over achiever)
E-26,M-27,R-25,S-28, Comp 27 (04/05) HS Freshman (did NO review)
E-33,M-31,R-24,S-35, Comp 31 (06/06) HS Sophmore (little review)
E-35,M-36,R-33,S-34, Comp 35 (12/06) HS Junior (home review only)
Son thinks he may want to test again to see if he can score a 36 Comp.

For anyone that has a Genuine Comp. of 36, should my son even bother with a fourth testing date? He is ranked first in his class of 418?
