How many times did you take the SSAT test?

Hey... I already took four tests before, should I take another one in January, so that I can get a better score? By the way, how many times did you take the SSAT test?

What are your scores for the SSAT? I had taken my first test and scored a 90 percentile and then I scored a 97th percentile in my second test. 4 I think is a lot and the schools would be doubtful of your overall academic standard. It really doesn’t matter though if you get a bad ssat score. A friend I know scored a 70th percentile and still made it into one of the top prep schools. I am pretty sure he is now attending Harvard (family friend). Also if you want to retake the test in January you’ll need to keep in mind that you need to give the schools that you are applying to before you actually get a chance to look at your results because of the deadline that they set…

4X is over the top…

anything more than twice looks like you are trying to game the system. This is precisely why the ssat score loses significance because some kids have access to a lot of Prep before the test and other students do not have that advantage. Even if you do not submit all of the scores to your schools they can still see how many times you have taken the test and that will reflect negatively.

I took it twice. I got a 97 overall the first time, 99 math 95 reading and 92 verbal, then took it again and got a 98 overall, 99 math 99 verbal and 93 reading.
