How many times should one take the SAT?

I have taken the SAT 4 times, and every single time I have experienced a point gain.

January 2009 - Math: 580 CR: 600 W: 550 (1730)
March 2009 - M: 580 CR: 630 W: 630 (1840)
June 2009 - M: 680 CR: 630 W: 630 (1940)
November 2009: M: 630 CR: 740 W: 710 (2080)

I am still considering taking the test in December in standby testing, as i think that I could easily get a 700 in math.

I am wondering, do you think that colleges would care if I took the test 5 times if I improved every single time that I took it?

Welcome to the world of score choice!

Score Choice is good, but many colleges look down upon that, right?

Yes, they would care. Colleges look down upon taking the test more than three times. Yale and Stanford want their applicants to take it twice. However, as stated above, you do have score choice.

Only send your November and perhaps your December test if you choose to take it. Your colleges will never find out that you took it more than twice and they do not need to know that information anyway. Students should take the SAT as many times as they wish until they believe that their scores accurately represent their abilities. If you feel that you are well capable of scoring above 700 in Math, then go for it.
