I took my SATs twice in my junior year and my scores still aren't where I want them, should I take them again?

Sure, if you feel you can do better.

I think so.

Why not? You don't really have anything to lose except $40.

It depends on whether you believe you can actually improve, what you score already is, and what colleges you intend to apply to. Starting with the third, if your score is already in the upper 50% of the usual admitted range of the colleges to which you intend to apply, then taking it again seems pointless unless a higher score is needed to qualify for merit aid. Second, if your score is already high (e.g., 2200 or above) then improving it is more unlikely and unnecessary (I mention this because only on these boards do I see people acting real disappointed that they only came close to 2400). Third, do you think you can actually improve? If so it may be worth the shot.

Finally, you can always consider another alternative: try the ACT.
