How Many Times?

Is it really true that colleges don't generally care how many times you've taken your SAT to get the scores that you have (as long as you don't take it an incredibly unreasonable amount of times), but instead just take either the highest of each SAT or the highest of one sitting? I have been arguing with my dad over this. I told him that colleges say they don't care, but he's saying that he heard people say that colleges don't like seeing you taking the SAT too many times to try to improve your scores. Is he right?

I am not planning to take it 5 or 6 times or something, just maybe 3 or 4 times (most likely 4). Is this all right? Or do college dislike that?

Thanks!

hit for 3....not 4..

i believe 3 times are the upper limit, cause colleges know that by taking the actual test many times you increase your familiarity with the test.

Total BS. They dont care. If they cared, the collegeboard would still have the rule prohibiting students from testing more than once.

Good plan, I finally got an 800 (Math) on my fourth trial.
