Alright, I'm looking at the IGETC, and I'm thinking that I'm screwed. It says there's only one class needed as a math requirement, but I should be completed with all of them by spring. My total math class units is roughly 33/66 or half of my total classes I've taken. I've also been trying to satisfy some of the pre-pharmacy requirements along the way. I'm going to have to take a third year because unfortunately my GPA will only pull up to 3.2 if I do well for the rest of the year.

I will have 66 units by the time I'm done with my sophomore year of community college. How much is too much? I need 25 more units to satisfy the IGETC requirements. So, I'll have around 91 semester units.

Hey, if you only attended a cc for all units, you can have as many as you want before you transfer to a UC/CSU! For some privates, such as Harvard, this is different. They will not even consider you, if you have more than 2 years of college coursework.

Really? I thought there was like a maximum amount I could take. I seriously thought the max was like 80. It’s frightening cause I want to get into a good college and am trying to raise my GPA also in the process. I’m strictly just trying to get into a good UC school besides one LAC no one’s really ever heard of.

"UC awards graduation credit for up to 70 semester (105 quarter) units of transferable coursework from a community college. That means those units will be counted toward completion of your degree. Courses in excess of 70 semester (105 quarter) units will not receive unit credit but will receive subject credit and may be used to satisfy UC’s subject requirements.

Some campuses also limit the total number of transfer units that will be accepted. If your community college work is combined with credit from a four-year institution, different unit limits may apply. Please consult the admissions office at the UC campus that interests you.

Additionally, there is a limit to the number of units you can transfer in the following coursework (the courses must be listed on your community college’s TCA with UC):

* English as a Second Language courses: A maximum of 8 semester units earns transfer credit
Physical Education activity courses: A maximum of 4 semester units earns transfer credit"
