Do you have to have 12 units TOTAL to be considered a full time student (at one or more cc's) or do you have to have those same 12 units at ONE community college to be a full time student?

I have 11 units at my home CC and 3 units at another CC?

Is this considered full time because I dropped a 3 unit class which puts me at 14 total units?

A full time student in regards to what? Financial Aid? Your CC requirements? Insurance? Transferring?

In regards to transferring. I have 11 units this semester at my local cc and I am also taking a 3 unit lit. course at another cc. I’m assuming that I’m not a full time student at either school but combined I should be. Right?

That is a good question

Just take an easy 1-unit PE or fitness class at your home CC. Problem solved, no head scratching =)

Instead of P.E. I’m planning to take a keyboarding class so I should be good.

Yup… just take the easy way.

Plenty of people transfer even as part time students in general, so why are you concerned about this? They’ll notice that you’re taking classes at different schools simultaneously. I almost never had 12 units at a single school.

@killymy I was just worried about this because I didn’t find any relevant information from the UC websites and so I didn’t want to find out that I needed to be a full time student at one school or something of that sort. Just anxiety.

Don’t trip. You’re fine.
