I was waitlisted! Middlebury is my top choice so I really hope I get in. I read that in years past, 0 applicants have gotten in off the waitlist one year and 79 got in another year.
It’s so stressful

i was wait listed too!
midd is def my top choice.
i’m not very confident though
i applied ED back in the fall and was deferred, and now this! ughhh

glad to know i have people to moan about it with though!

I was waitlisted too. Second place. Now I guess it’s down to waiting to hear back from my first choice, William and Mary…it’s not looking too good. But everyone should remember that there’s always a chance, no matter how small!

I’m waitlisted as well however Middlebury was a random school I’ve decided to apply to so I’m not too worried about it. I feel that I have a good amount of colleges to choose between that have already admitted me so there’s no stress here, I’m just waiting on two more next week. For the rest of you out there though, good luck. :)

In the same boat as leeloo - I applied EDI, was deferred, and now waitlisted.
Amber, Midd is need-aware on the wait list unfortunately. I have huge need so I most likely won’t be selected.

^ Oh, okay. Yeah, I have an EFC of 0 so I wouldn’t be selected. I got into Wellesley yesterday with unbelievable aid, so I won’t be staying on the waitlist.
Good luck to everyone!

I’m a waitlisted international student as well who needs almost full Financial Aid. I was quite shocked that I was waitlisted and not outright rejected, but like delvedeeper said, being waitlisted isn’t extremely encouraging with the stats of previous years. I’ll try my best but at the same time act as though I’ve been rejected, since the odds are stacked so against me.

I am also waitlisted at Midd. Did anyone else think their waitlist letter was very nice, though? :)

Found out on the same day that I got accepted to Pomona! Weird, right? It would be hard to choose between the two, anyway, so I guess it worked out all right!

I thought the letter was excellent. It didn’t make me feel bad at all. Although, I consider getting on the waitlist at all a pretty good accomplishment!

So how big do you think the waiting list is? 100 kids? 150 kids? 200 kids? More? Well even if we speculate about that number, we have no idea how many people will accept the offer.
