<p>Approximately how many waves are there per year? Maybe every week beginning of March? And are the waves random or do they have a level of applicants,.....such as the first wave are the smart ones, and the last ones are the lower stats.</p>
<p>It’s been said that there is a wave every Friday up until April. The first wave seemed to be made of mostly people who had been on the “reviewed by committee” status for about a month. So, I’d say they’ve been on the “yes” list for a while. After that, mostly everyone else was asked for mid-term grades. With that, they might weed out the people who they haven’t already placed in the “no” pile.</p>

<p>Also, I assume that people who applied for the schoalrship (Dec. 10) deadline receive notification sooner than the ones who applied Jan 15?</p>
<p>acarey: You would think so, but I’m not sure that is actually happening…I still think that House of Cards has it right…Easy in’s: first response…especially for the regular school (arts & science)…</p>
<p>Also, some of those who had been on the “reviewed by committee” status for a long time may have been students who were considered for scholarships but didn’t get them. So, they were still very competitive or they wouldn’t have been considered in the first place.</p>

<p>My envelope was mailed on a Friday and arrived on a Monday. My status didn’t change to accepted for about 5 days after that so you could find out on a Monday.</p>
<p>^ I personally think it will be wednesday or thursday of this week… last year it seems like a lot more people had found out by this time. But I don’t know anything! Just guessing, for kicks.</p>
<p>idk, honestly, i’m kind of confused. i basically think its every 2 weeks but i’m only going off friday cuz someone mentioned it earlier. i think that was concluded because people were paying attention to the day acceptances came from each of the previous waves. I would guess friday since that’s whats been concluded already but who knows</p>

<p>My friend got hers postmarked on march 5th and received it the next day march 6th. She lives in SoCal. So if it was postmarked last friday the people in SoCal would’ve received it the next day, yesterday…Saturday.</p>

<p>by waves coming out on friday, do you mean, USC sends the packages out on friday or do you mean that we, applicants, should be expecting the packages to be in the mailbox on Friday?</p>
<p>the reason why i’m asking is because my status was recently updated on 3/12 and i heard that a new batch would be coming out this friday (today). i also heard that int’l students get an email from DHL ON friday saying that theres a package for them. i came home from school today with no DHL email in my email account…</p>

<p>Firstly chill…its barely even friday in LA. There’s more than 12-13 hours left to send out packages and for DhL to recieve and process the package…
And secondly if the theory is right you would probably recieve it and the end of the month like almost everyone else on the board…around half of the 7600 they are accepting have got in…that means there a whole 3800 students are still waiting…</p>
