I understand that people are receiving 800's in sections even after missing a few questions. Is it true that you can miss about 2 in CR, 2 in Math, and then score a 9 on the essay and still receive a 2400? I don't like the thought of this to be honest.
It seems to be that you either receive an 800, or you jump down to a 760ish.
I don't believe I have ever seen someone say they received a 790 in a section :/

I'm specifically interested in the writing section. I anticipate a 10 on my essay, and probably 2 MC errors. What score could I expect to get with this? 750?

you can miss ZERO IN MATH, but perhaps one if you ARE REALLY LUCKY. very rarely does the latter happen.VERY RARELY. for cr, you can miss like 2 raw points, maybe three if the test was extremely hard.
sorry i can’t say much on W. perhaps you should look up the pdf file with the released sat curves and use your own judgment (mine won’t match yours)

-1 is 770-790 in math; november test will either be 770-780. -2 was 750 in october, typically 740-760. 10 essay with 2 wrong in mc is typically around 770-780 but writing was pretty difficult this time around

Thanks a lot for all the relevant input.
Math is always my lowest. I believe I missed around 6 on this last test.
Hopefully I can still pull close to a 700 :/

750 Writing is my goal. Maybe 3 MC errors and 10 essay…
