How many W's are to many for Law School

I am currently a freshman and I have 1 “W” from dropping a math class I no longer needed when I switched my major to Law. I am in chem and Im thinking of dropping it, i dont need it for the major and i dont think i can get better then a c, or d, it will drop my GPA. How many W’s are to many?

Are you saying you’ll get an F in that class? If so I think you need to drop it. 2Ws won’t kill you. I had a W and was still admitted to HYS. An F will tank your LSAC gpa.

Here’s my caveat though: make this your last one. You don’t want to show a pattern especially since you’re only s freshman.

Try not to get too many more going forward, but I would definitely take the W instead of a C or worse.

Be careful of that advice. Some colleges give a W-P or W-F. The former is Withdraw (but passing at the time). The latter is Withdrawl while failing, which LSAC will count it as a F for the purposes of GPA calcs.
