how many years did it take to get your b.s.? masters? also please say what you studied.

I did my BS (4 years) and MS (3 years) in biomedical engineering.

6 years to get my b.s. in electrical

Will be graduating with my BS in civil engineering (structural) and MS in civil engineering (construction engineering and management) in May after 4 years :D

doesn’t make much sense… much like your username. unless you already had an undergrad degree you didn’t post.

Proton, I am finishing both degrees concurrently. My school has a program that allows seniors to begin taking graduate level courses. The program also cuts down the number of units required for a masters degree by 1/3. I managed to fit all of my graduate courses into my senior year.

It’s not common to graduate to in four years though. Most students in the program usually only take 1 or 2 grad courses their senior year and then save the rest for their 5th year.

Oops, double post.

oh ok. i was just thinking that it takes 4 years minimum to graduate and then you transfer to graduate school where it takes another 2 years minimum to complete your masters.

im just wondering where you went to school cause over here in california that path you went on is unheard of. its coo if you don’t want to say though.

it’s definitely possible to get BS and MS in 4 years total. I finished in 4 years, but ended up with enough credits over the undergrad limit for a MS degree, for me it was a random mix of classes, but i’ve seen people finish 4 years with BS and MS. Also, A LOT of folks at Michigan would do 4+1 for BS and MS, it’s pretty common to get BS in 4 and an MS degree in an extra year.

I think it’s even possible to finish the BS degree in less than 3 years. The key is to get through the general education requirements quickly in your first few years, by either AP credits or taking extra classes.

S got BS in mechanical engineering in 4 years with a minor in materials science. Finishing up first year of grad school and working towards PhD.

Finished my BS in 3.5 years and getting my MS after two years of graduate work (on my way to PhD).

One of my good friends managed to do a BS/MS in four years in addition to a minor in photography in undergrad.

I will be finishing my B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering in 4.5 years.

Yah Electrical is gonna end up taking me 6 years when it is all said and done. I have taken lighter load because i’m studying for the LSAT but even my smartest friends are taking 4.5 to 5.5 yrs

My Bachelor’s of Engineering took 4 years and my MS took one year (civil engineering).

5 years in CS.
