how many yrs of foreign language?

So if i took 3 yrs of foreign language in hs, do i need to take foreign language in college again(for how many yrs)?. Am I excused from foreign language classes if I took 4 yrs in hs?

if you took AP language maybe you get out of one year

everyone takes (three or) four years of language…you dont get out of it buddy

**I like to to tell people how unspecial they are…its fun

my question was if I still need to take it in college if I take four yrs in hs. if you can’t really help go away

Perhaps you can get away with some credits if you passed their placement test. However, you can’t get away from their placement tests even if you score the maximum in AP test.

Like the above poster said, it’s all about the placement tests. If you speak fluently, you’ll take a year or so if any at all. If you speak it mediocrely, you’ll have to take a couple years.

At UC Berkeley, my older son did not have to take a foreign language because he took three years in high school. At USC, my younger son had to take a placement test and ended up needing one semester. It varies from school to school so check with each individual school.
