how many

questions in each section can u miss at most to become national merit?
im planning on getting 800 in math and missing 3 at max in each critical reading and also missing 3 at max in writing
is that good enough for national merit or miss less?
plz try to give me exact numbers

Depends on how well your state does. They take the National Merit people by taking a certain percentile, so it’s all relatie. You’re probably fine. There are no exact numbers. It changes because average scores differ from year to year. Furthermore, do you mean National Merit Semifinalist, Finalist, or Winner? To be a semifinalist at my state last year you needed a 215, I think. Then, if you’re a semifinalist, you complete an application and they knock out a few people and those remaining are the finalists. To become a winner it really depends more on your application I think, because some people I know got very high PSAT and SAT scores but didn’t win, while others who got much lower scores won the scholarship. By the way, I think the most you win is $2500, which when you think about it, really isn’t that much. There are probably local scholarships that are easier to win but give you more money, and if you work for a bit you can make $2500. You won’t find out whether you won the National Merit thing until after you get accepted to college.

yeah
but u r not going for it for money
i don care about money
it just looks good on ur college application
so yeah..
thx
