How "Mexican" is the student body at Oakes?

Before people get the wrong Idea of this question, let me explain.

I come from a very mexican centrel coast community, and I am absolutely 100% Mexican, but for all intents and purposes, I for some reason have adopted a "white" lifestyle, despite living with a very traditional family, because of this, I speak almost no spanish AT ALL, and I don't really embrace my culture compared to other people, because of this, I don't enjoy listening to any spanish music at all (whether it be corridos, ranchera, or reggaton) I prefer more surf rock and ska myself. I am considered a "pocho" among certain groups of traditional mexicans.

So my question is: How open minded or "traditional" is the Hispanic student body at Oakes? Will I be fine, or will I be an outcast?

TLDR : WHITE WASHED MEXICAN WANTS TO KNOW IF HE'LL FIT IN AT OAKES

Most Mexican tendencies disappear after the first generation.

My advice if they aren’t cool then go somewhere else.

If you like to surf I am sure you will have no problem find friends at Santa Cruz.

Thanks for the reply, It’s just that I hear people saying that oakes is the place to go, but I don’t want to be miserable there, thanks.
