Here are my scores:
CR-780
Writing-690
Math-610
I'm concerned, because statistically speaking most people with my scores who retake the test actually see their scores decline. But these scores aren't good enough to get into my top choices: Harvard, Yale, and Georgetown. How much can I realistically get them up in time to apply regular decision this year? And what is the best way to achieve that? Thank you.

Why limit yourself? Particularly getting score projections from CCers who’d like to keep their 2350s to themselves…just keep going until it’s admissions time and see what you have by then.

I had VERY similar scores

800 CR
690 M
610 W

and with NO studying I went to:

780 CR
800 M
720 W

so, I think its realistic (but not probable) that you could improve a ton. study hard!

I would say you are good on CR, so do practice math problems and try to eliminate careless errors. Writing, just try to learn the rules as best you can and don’t worry about the essay, because its extremely subjective.

Is there a way to work on my essay? That’s what hurt me, I did excellently on the multiple choice.

I wish I knew! Fill the whole 2 pages, according to MIT it is correlated (but not necesarily causal) of higher scores

If your college doesn’t allow Score Choice, then you can’t take it many times. Otherwise, keep practicing on sample problems for the math section and know your theorems cold.
