How much are A+'s A's B's B+'s C's C+'s....etc worth at your school

I go to a Private school in D.C. and I was just wondering how grades are different in different schools.

A-90-100%- 4.0
B+-85-89%- 3.5
B-80-84% - 3.0
C+-79-79%- 2.5
C-70-74%- 2.0
D-65-69%- 1
F-below 64- 0

I have a 3.65 unweighted

At my school, there are no +'s and -'s are worth the same as full grades.

A and A- (100-90%)-4.0
B and B- (89-80%)-3.0
C and C- (79-70%)-2.0
D and D- (69-60)-1.0

At my HS in Fairfax County, VA

A (94-100%) - 4.0
B+ (90-93%) - 3.5
B (84-89%) - 3.0
C+ (80-83%) - 2.5
C (74-79%) - 2.0
D+ (70-74%) - 1.5
D (64-69%) - 1.0
F (0-63%) - 0

Weighting is .5 for AP.

We do it differently. A 100 is a 5.0, a 99 is a 4.9, a 98 is a 4.8, a 89 is a 3.9, a 79 is a 2.9, and so on. 1.0 is added to honors/AP.

We only do percentages.

In Prince William, VA
A (93-100) 4.0
B+ (90-92) 3.4
B (84-89) - 3.0
C+ (81-83) - 2.5
C (74-80) - 2.0
D+ (71-73) - 1.5
D (65-70) - 1.0
F (0-64) - 0

AP classes are weihgted 1.0 if the final grade is a C or better and you take the AP exam.

bananainpyjamas do you go to TJ?

At my school
A (93-100) 4.0
B (85-92) 3.0
C (75-85) 2.0
D (70-75) 1.0
F (0-69) 0.0

We also get 1.0 weighted for AP classes and 0.5 weighted for accelerated classes. We don't have +/-.

My school does not weight APs and there are no honors (it is a small private). All A's (90-100) are 4.0, all B's (89-80) are 3.0, etc.

A+ (97-100) 4.33
A (93-97) 4.0
A- (90-93) 3.67
B+ (87-89) 3.33
B (83-87) 3.0
B- (80-83) 2.67
C+ (77-79) 2.33
etc

honors weighted .33
AP weighted .67

lol, yes, I went to TJ. :)

same as sapphire's.

There are no +/-'s at my school.

A+/A/A-: 4.0
B+/B/B-:3.0
C+//C/C-:2.0

...

+/- grades don't show up on 'cards.

At my school +/- show up on report cards but not on the transcripts (so irrelevant...).

IB classes are weighted +1 pt
A = 4.0 (5.0)
B = 3.0 (4.0)
etc.

As far as percentages in the classes = letter grades, really depends. I know in the higher spanish classes, 92% is an A vs. 90% in most classes.

4.0: 97-100
3.9: 92-97
3.7: 90-92
3.3: 87-90
3.0: 82-87

That's all I remember. No weighting, no letter grades. Just the score out of 4 shows up for each class.

99-100 A+ 4.3
96-98 A 4.0
94-95 A- 3.7
92-93 B+ 3.3
89-91 B 3.0
87-88 B- 2.7
85-86 C+ 2.3
82-84 C 2.0
80-81 1.7

For AP and Honor Classes just add a an extra 1.0

grades are usually recalculated once they get into the admissions office and are unweighted so I really would not worry about any of this

New Jersey School:
A - 93-100
B - 85-92
C - Something - 84
D - who knows.
Failing - 69 and below

APs are weighted a whole 8 points and Honors are 5. This is why our entire school gets rejected from really good colleges. My lowest unweighted average is a 90, though, in AP english, so I wonder if that'll be okay at schools like Upenn.

We only do percentages.

Honors and AP are weighted the same (multiplying your grade by 1.094).

A/4.0 = 90-100
B/3.0 = 80-89
C/2.0 = 70-79
D/1.0 = 60-69

AP and Honors classes get multiplied by 1.25 (5.0, 3.75, etc.)

pshhh.... we dont do the whole A+ nonsense. nor do we do percentages (and thank god). we just have a 92-100 grading scale
