How much are you bringing to the dorms?

I’m thinking I packed too much crap…
huge suitcase of clothes, a fridge, microwave, and 4 24x24 boxes…

How much are you guys bringing?

I have 3 big luggages, a microwave, a printer, another container of clothes, food in one bag and beddings in another.

I think I have a lot too.

3 big suitcases of clothes? Wow, don’t think you’ll need that many >.>

One suitcase of clothes, two big suitcases of everything else, one backpack of books, and a bike.

Two suitcases, a duffel bag, a backpack, a camera bag, a laptop bag, two blankets.

Note that I’m flying up. >_<

I’ll bring one suitcase of clothes, a fridge, maybe a microwave and rice cooker, my laptop, and bedding. That should be all, I live an hour away.

my parents loaded me up with food and cookware… the only thing I have that contains clothes is the suitcase. all the boxes = food/food/pans/food/decoration/food.

@trinniele

Asian parents? If so, yea same here, my parents are loading me with food as well, precooked, ramen, etc…, the whole works.

Well, at least your parents aren’t staying over at your room for one night. :[
Asian parents :[

@SliTCX

I feel sorry for you. Where are you from? It seems that you came a long distance, for your parents to want to stay a night.

@LanEvo

I guess it’s okayyy-ish.
I’m from Los Angeles, CA, 8 hours away. >__< Only one parent though.
At least my roommate doesn’t mind. :]

Ah, I only live one hour away can always go home for something I need, makes it easy to get this stuff to Davis too.

That rice cooker sounds nice, LanEvo! I have a microwave, one big duffel bag of clothes, school backpack w/ books, sheets/blankets, bike, and 2 plastic underbed storage bins :D

I need to know who’s bringing the TV so you can be my friend :stuck_out_tongue: haha kidding

I’m from OC. It’s going to be a b1tch getting my stuff up there should I forget something.
And about your parent… ouch.

Well, I am getting the Rice Cooker for sure, my parents took me to Costco to get it today, we are still searching for the microwave, they got me an Electric Water Boiler as well, which is pretty kool. Do you guys think I need to bring my 23" monitor? My laptop is a 15.6", but IDK if i need the monitor or not, I will not be bringing a Desktop.

@ SliTCX

That is a pretty big distance imo, commuting wise, which is why I did not choose to go to UCLA. I prefer a closer to family atmosphere.

@trinniele

Your even further, so I don’t really have much to say there. Oh, are you flying or driving?

I have a lot too. It’s okay though, like a friend of mine said, better safe than sorry!

i love all the people bringing rice cookers. i thought UC irvine was the asian school :p
