title says it all. also, are you allowed to apply to emory college and oxford?

I have no idea how the financial aid compares, but you’re definitely allowed to apply to both. You apply to both at the same time with the same application.

for me, I only had a $2000 difference in the aid I received from Emory and the aid I got from Oxford… which was kind of weird. It was because I was an Oxford Scholar, and they wouldn’t offer me any more financial aid other than the half tuition scholarship. Thus, it’s only $2000 cheaper for me to attend Emory (I’m going to Emory!)

I haven’t read any mention of this, but FYI Oxford also offers 3 continuee scholarships for full tuition for the last 2 years at Emory. (1 is actually named the Temple Scholarship). The students who have done really well at Oxford (whether they are an Oxford Scholar or not) are invited to apply sophomore year.

Bourree13, the only advantage I can tell you as far as being an Oxford Scholar is that it qualifies you for the Emory Scholars program, whereas your fin aid from Emory may not qualify you for the scholars program. The biggest benefit there is the opportunity for early housing application and early times for class registration. But I am sure you will enjoy either one and I wish you well :)

thanks gamom… i picked emory, and sometimes i think maybe i could’ve chosen oxford… but i’m sure both experiences would have been good. i’m hoping for the best…
I didn’t know about the temple scholarship though… interesting. i guess it’s too late now haha. but yeah i’m excited about emory in general!
