How much can bad subject tests hurt you? (For UC's)

So I'm taking Math Level 2 this Saturday and I fear I may not do so swell after taking some practice tests. But I still want to take it, since I'm applying as Mechanical Engineering for 5 UC's, and they all recommend taking it.

Will getting, say, a 600 hurt my chances at all? The UC site says that they can only positively affect your chances based on how well you do, but I'm skeptical.

Also, if I do bad, I feel like my other stats may make up for it (32 ACT, 4.4 GPA, lots of EC's and stellar essays).

Just wondering if bad subject test scores can very badly hurt your chances

Keep taking practice tests for the Math subject test. You still have 3 days to study. Your stats look great for Engineering at the UC’s. My son got into the 5 UC’s he applied to last year with similar stats. He did end up with a 800 on Math 2 and a 790 on Physic subject tests. Good luck!

600 is pretty low considering the curve. I would say aim for a 700+ and you will see afterwards.
