How much can it hurt?

Hey, I’m a Junior and I recently got a 79%, C in AP calc. I am really realy ****ed off about it. My rand before was a 7/382, I’m sure it will drop, but how badly can this C hurt my chances at UPenn, BC, BU, Emory and other highly selective schools. Not to mention that my SAT’s aren’t spectacular (low 1300’s). THANKs!

One C shouldn't really hurt you that much.. I got into Emory with a couple C's on my transcript, but my SAT was much better.. overall one grade by itself will not make or break you.. they look at the whole package. Just try and forget about that C and do better in the future.

good luck

in canada, a 79% is considered very good, B+++, b/c an 80%=A=4.0, but then again we have extreme marking schemes.

one C is no big deal, especially if everything else is good. They know you're not perfect.

Thanks for the comfort guys, but it still sucks because it is so close! Hey archdelux, what were your SAt scores?

You're fine. Almost everyone, even many of the CC geniuses, has that one class which just didn't work out. Colleges understand. Just keep working, and try to boost that SAT!!!

A C won't really hurt you unless it shows up your transcript. But even if it does show up on your transcript, I don't think it will hurt you that much because no one is perfect.
