<p>250 min, 800 maximum i'm pretty sure</p>

<p>Mine's 970 and my counselor and two AP English teachers told me not to change it, that it read very easily and didn't seem almost 1000 words long, so if you can make it flow very VERY well, I think you can make it longer than 800, I wouldn't go over 1000 though.</p>

<p>Um.. I've always been under the impression that papers should be double spaced (mla format)... My paper is 703 words and 3.5 pages, I'm not sure how you get one page out of that lol. One full page is usually around 300 words</p>

<p>When you count words, do you include prepositions and articles. for example words like "for", "the" "a" "an" "with" and the like?</p>

<p>Yes you include all words (not characters) for the word count. A simple way of doing this is just using MS Word and tools -> word count</p>
