How much can you raise your GPA?

Hello all, I'm a going to be a sophomore in HS this coming school year and I'm sitting on a 3.7 gpa weighted right now. I was wondering how hard it would be to raise it in the next three years? I'm shooting for the 4.2ish weighted range and was wondering if that was possible. I took 1 AP class and 3 or 4 honors classes last year and plan on steadily increasing that throughout the next few years.

How much have you guys raised your GPA's throughout your HS career? I'm just curious to see how hard it would be, thanks!

Mine went from 3.6 freshman year to a 4.2 by the end of my junior year!

you’re in good shape, you can definitely increase it substantially in a couple years

Haha it sounds like me  I had about a 3.7 weighted at the end of freshman year, and now at the end of junior year I have about a 4.2. It’s definitely possible if you take the highest classes possibles; I got 2 B’s both semesters in sophomore year and one B in first semester of junior year and none second semester. You should be able to do it. :)

It’s very hard to raise GPA’s significantly if your school doesn’t weight things heavily. If your school has a decent weighting system in place it shouldn’t be a problem.
Mine has gone down about .03 because of elective courses lol

Thanks for the replies guys! I was in good shape at the end of the first semester with a 4.2/w buuuuuut due to insufficient amount of preparation for finals and lack of motivation in my 2nd semester I really finished poorly lol. how would you guys describe your class schedule level of difficulty in 10th, 11th, and 12th grade?

11th - french 3 hon, pre calc hon, AP english comp, AP psych, AP environmental science, AP u.s. history
