how much cash/check do i get out of this?

i just received a UCDAVIS finacial aid package...and i would like some help to interpret this thing for me.
my main question will be..out of all this grants and loan list...how much of it comes straight to my pocket in the form of checks ..etc?

<p>Since your grants and loans seem to cover the direct costs, I don’t see you getting a check. However, others may figure this out differently.</p>

<p>I would agree with mom2collegekids. Not only does it look as though you are not going to get a check, but you need to come up with about $3500 to cover books, supplies and transportation. Additionally you will incur at LEAST $5500 per year in Stafford loans.</p>

<p>Assuming the basic living expenses are the room and board costs it looks to me like you (or parents) will owe a little for direct charges, so you won’t be getting anything back in the form of check/cash (assuming you are living on campus and that is your actual room and board)</p>
