<p>I almost never have cash on hand, which gets me into trouble a lot. I think anywhere between $20 to $100 is decent to get by on–assuming you also have either a credit or debit card.</p>
<p>When you’re out at night, always have enough cash on hand for a cab ride back to your dorm/apt. (just in case).</p>
<p>I carried between 40 and 50 during summer school, but it shouldn’t be much different when I’m at college. I’d hate to get robbed if I’m carrying more than 50 (it would hurt) and I might not have enough for the entire day (say I forgot to drop by the ATM) and well that would be troublesome.</p>
<p>Hm, well I carry around $30
but since I thought about college, I thought I’d keep like around $150 at the dorm, and like $50 with me. </p>
<p>I guess I’ll just carry around like $40, but probably less since I like plastic better</p>
