How much college mail???

I'm going to college next year, and I have a sibling who's going to be a sophomore in college. Anyway, I asked her to leave me her college mail so that I could look through it for some colleges that might have interested me.

Now that the process is over for me, I decided to weigh all the mail.

Together, we have over 376 pounds of college mail. This weekend, we're going to burn it all! At first, I started taking the guide books out to maybe donate to a library or something, but after spending weeks, I was literally getting no where. Rather than risking someone possibly getting my address (and all the other prefilled stuff on some of the applications), we've decided that the best method of disposal is to burn it all. Anyways, I'm gonna try to post pictures of the massive bon fire.

For all you high school students out there, THROW AWAY COLLEGE MAIL AS YOU GET IT!!!

lol ya i tried saving all the mail from colleges i was getting....until i began to run out of room to store the 4 yrs worth of the stuff =P

You saved all 376 lb. until now? Amazing. I bet it's going to be really fun to burn it all. :)

I usually threw away college mail unless they're ones I'm interested in, but I threw those out too eventually. I still have admission packets from colleges I got accepted to, but declined.

gasp don't burn, recycle! Save the Twees!!!!!

Anyway, I was going to throw it all out as time went by, BUT i always have this feeling that I'll need something once I throw it out. Like, I never had any intentions of going to or even applying to college x, but I knew that as soon as I threw out a letter from there, I'd want to know more about the college...anyway, it's great to finally be able to get rid of it all

lol; i wish ther was a recycling center in my town or even w/in a couple of hours!!! It's impossibl to recycle here....

yeah too bad they weren't cans or something, in some places they pay money for every can you recycle.
