I'm starting junior year of high school next month... freshman year I ended with a 3.69 GPA. Soph year was roughly the same grade-wise, and let's say it's a 3.5 (unweighted) at the possible lowest (my school hasn't posted GPAs yet and currently the site with all my grades, test scores, schedule, etc is down). If I hypothetically got a 4.0 all throughout junior year, how much would it raise my gpa? In reality I'll probably get a few B's but I want to know how high my gpa could possibly get at this point.

The average GPA of a 3.69, 3.5, and 4.0 is 3.73.

^ Agreed.
OP, you could have figured that one out. Common now… you are about to be a senior…

Great math problem.

Assuming you take the same number of credits each year, your sophomore grades could move your GPA at most halfway from your freshman GPA to a perfect 4.0. Similarly, after your sophomore year, your junior grades could move your overall GPA 1/3 of the way towards a perfect 4.0, and your senior grades merely 1/4 of the way.

I suggest you should study a lot more than you had anticipated for the math portion of the SAT/ACT.

I’m going to assume no one is touching weighted GPA or the fact that some colleges disregard freshman year and most do not count senior year or only first semester senior year.
