How would the supplemental music materials help me in my admission?
Because I am very interested in playing in the orchestra there. Hopefully this would be and advantage for me right? because with all due respect to the school its not Julliard in music so hopefully my musical prowess would help me?

also JV baseball for one year

Music was my only extracurricular and it wasn’t even impressive (2 years in non-audition orchestra, 2 years in audition only orchestra, and AP Music Theory) and I imagine it must have had some weight in my admission because after I accepted the offer, they sent me a letter that encouraged me to join Georgetown’s music programs.

I think it will definitely help your chances, especially because you were recognized for your accomplishments.
By the way, what school are you applying to?

georgetown university

Haha, I ment the college, SFS, MSB, etc.
Nonetheless you have really good chances, I was just curious as to what you were interested in majoring in because you seem to have a real passion for music.

LOL my bad…I want to go to SFS…ive really had an interest in foreign affairs and such because my father was deported when i was a freshmen…and violin is something i pour out emotions with…however, i know i cant get too far with music, and SFS is basically my #1 goal.

I’m sorry to hear about your father, but its cool that when I read your profile I thought of SFS but didn’t want to jump to conclusions. I believe that you would be an excellent addition to the Georgetown community.
Best of luck!

I do agree though that you can’t get too far with music because I am a musician myself and I love music theory, but I also really like math and business and thats much more practical. I hear ya man.

Well, I suppose it also depends on what you mean by going too far. Yes, most positions acquired with a music major aren’t very lucrative, but if you love what you do, then what’s the problem?
