How much did you improve on the ACT & after how many times?

Ok so lately I have been really stressed out about the ACT. The more I think about it, I just get angry. But any way I have taken the ACT twice and I am am taking it this coming up February test and plan to again in April. I am a current junior.
these were my scores on the first test:
E: 25
M: 21
R: 23
S: 23
composite: 23
the second time I took it I got this:
E: 27
M: 26
R: 21
S:23
composite: 24
I improved a lot in math but reading is where I fell behind because I always run out of time!
Anyway, all I want is a 26 so I can get a good scholarship at the school im looking at. What do you think my chances are?
I want to know how much you improved and after how many times taking it?
Ive heard some people tell me that they have not improved at all, taking it 7 times and this scares me so much!
also lately I have really been lacking motivation of studying and the second time I took it I studied a lot and my score only went up one point. Now I dont think im going to end up studying as much for the coming up one, any chance I could still do better with out studying as much?
So, How much did your score improve? and over what time period?
also, any studYing tips would be much appreciated!
THANKS

I took the ACT three times. Over the course of those three times, math jumped 6 points, reading jumped 10 points, english jumped 2 points (I got a really high score on that the first time through though and 2 points was the maximum it could rise), and science jumped 8 points.

Perhaps you could try taking the SAT instead? I tried the SAT three times and my score barely varied, but when I took the ACT I was able to improve it.
