65 dollars, only filled out one...and I got in ED

40, because i used fee waivers for like 8

prob around 500

ipwn, what schools did you apply to, that's a lot.

ipwn didn't even say how much he/she spent.

0_o

I will have spent around $600 on apps...I haven't exactly finished yet.

wow, i have to agree it's kinda nice having a menu of colleges to chose from once you do get accepted though :)

zero dollars because the 4 schools my S applied to waived the fee either because we visited the school or applied online. One school returned our check! :)

It depends for me. I can just decide to choose my EA school, and then I will have only spent $60. Or, I can apply to all the places I wanted to, and end up spending $270. I will probably go somewhere in between, and apply to one other, thus spending $130.

I spent over $800 bucks, but luckily I got in ED.

I will definitely be spending close to a $1000...after getting deferred ED im no longer sure of anything so im keeping my options open...plus theres also the matter of sending SATs and APs....there should seriously be a law regulating the collegeboard...like after the 5th college, test results are sent free or something...their sending prices and AP registration prices have gotten ridiculous...

My parents are paying everything right now, but I'll offer to put up half cuz im spending toooo much

8 apps + postage + SAT scores + AP scores + a ton of supplementary materials = close to $1000

I think its money well spent! !!

I think I spent about the same... SAT Is (twice) + SAT IIs + Sending Score + 4 Application Fees + Fed-ex = 1000 dollars.

Including all my applications, SAT and AP score reports, it's well over 1000 bucks.

This is seriously ridiculous.
i just have collegeboard so much - i swear.... :

im telling you...the government regulates the tobacco industry...it should regulate collegeboard...now that i think about it, im surprised it doesnt...i really think that'll change in the near future...the collegeboard engages in "interstate commerce" by sending their tests all over the country right? Thus, they fall under Congress' domain...if only some politician recognized the advantage in proposing collegeboard legislation...

I lent somebody $20 for their Carolina application, does that count (I'm a junior)? :P

I applied to 6 schools, one (UMD) waived the fee for winning an award from the state of Maryland. Two were $65, one was $60 and two were $40. So, that's $270, and I'm really starting to feel for my parents lately-- I mean, if it hurts me this badly just to spend $270 on things that I arguably have to send, I can't imagine what it must have felt like for them until I got my own job.
