How much did your ACT go up from your first time?

I'm getting nervous about making a 30. I need it for full tuition to my first choice. I made a 26 in summer after Sophomore year. Currently a junior. Will be taking again in October. Do i have a chance to get up to a 30?

Definitely. With enough prep, pretty much anything up to a 32 is guaranteed (well, there are some exceptions of course). 26 is a strong score, and if you commit yourself, you’ll be sure to get a 30. Plus, you’re only a junior, so you have time. I took it cold in the fall of my freshman year and got a 29. Took it in the winter of junior year after about 5 or so practice tests and got a 34. You can do it!

First time i got a 22 (terrible i know) but just 9 months later i brought it up to a 30. I studied a lot though. I took as many practice tests as i could (probably around 50.) i won’t stop til i get a 34+. That’s the type of determination that gets you top scores

I started at a 27, and have a 33 currently. Waiting on these scores right now, hoping I get a 34.

would one month be enough prep for a 4 point increase?

I think so. Take a lot of practice tests. I suggest the act black book

I got 25 for the first time. Two months later I got 28… Didn’t know how I improved… Lol

31 to 33

29 to 31 to 32 …

30–>31–>35

25–> 27–> 28–> 33

30 -> 35.

Cat Decal - How did you improve so much? And when did you take that 25? like year wise? Also date for 33?

28 --> 24 --> 34
(March 2014 --> June 2014 --> September 2014)

25 --> 31

Wow I can’t tell for sure if everyone is being legit here but you guys improved so much! I’m hoping to go from 32 to 34…

@fireonice all about dedication…if there is a will, there’s a way. I took 20 practice tests in the last 2 months.

28 --> 33

Those are some big increases!! I only went up one point… 32 -----> 33

It’s the reading that kills me every time. My reading ended up at 27, while all of my other scores were 33 or higher (depending on the section).

33 to 33 to 35
