I just got the SAT Blue Book about two weeks ago and have done two practice tests. For all of those who finished the Blue Book, how much did your score improve from your first Blue Book practice test to your last???

well, I started the first test from the BB after I took a 4 month SAT class, so yea, due to some careless mistakes, I imporved about 20-30 points, but im sure someone who didn’t take a class would have a bigger change.

I think 100 points is a realistic expectation though obviously there is room for results to vary WIDELY.

“900 to 2400 hurr hurr”

My tests improved about 200 points from 2000-2200, although I cheated a lot on my first test so I would say about 400 points.

I didn’t do any SAT prep classes. Solved the Blue Book about 9 times completely through.
Started out with 1860
Ended up with 2300 Superscore
not bad.
I really recommend the Blue Book. It’s “official” right? haha
The best practice is to solve over and over again!

P.S: I used other books, but the Blue Book is by far the best IMO

Best of luck

I improved 80 points from my first Blue Book test to my last SAT, but my superscore is about 120 points higher than my first test.

The other thing to consider is where you started from, the lower your first score the more likely the Blue Book is going to help you. The first practice test I took, I scored in the low 2000s so there was less room for improvement than my sister who was in the low 1400s, I think she ended up somewhere between 1500/1600 and she doesn’t even care about tests so she could have improved more if she used the book on her own instead of only when she was told to and doing the bare minimum.
