I'm applying to Minnesota, Madison, Michigan, Northwestern, Wash. U in St. Louis, Johns Hopkins (all biomedical engineering programs)

I was just wondering how much weak extra-curriculars like mine will effect me. If you have time, could you chance me also?

it’s not going to reflect badly on you, it just won’t reflect well on you

don’t worry, i have the same problem

but never forget- TRANSCRIPT AND GRADES IN HIGH SCHOOL WILL ALWAYS BE MOST IMPORTANT and is the first step of getting into your school of choice

I usually don’t do chances, but I’m in the mood.

Minnesota, Madison - Safety

Michigan, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins (the university itself)- All Matches

Wash. U in St. Louis - You’re going to be waitlisted like most people. If you stay on the waitlist then it’s a match.

Johns Hopkins Biomedical Engineering Program - reach

Impressive stats.ECs might hurt you a little, but it’s water under the bridge. Join math team if you want to, but not because you think you need ECs to help your app. Maybe include things that you actually do with your time that are outside of school. Sounds like you write great essay. Maybe it will compensate. If you work a job it compensates for lack of involvement.
