My parent's income is <$75,000, so I would expect there'd be no loans for my parents. How much institutional grant does Cornell usually offer? Will I have to have loans? I know that the money would be coming from:
-Cornell's grant
-federal aid from fafsa
-work-study
-contribution from summer earnings
-student loans?

I've tried to look around on the website, and couldn't find it. Any help is appreciated!

no, I'm just out of state. My efc is around $3000. So basically somehow Cornell has to meet my need through:
-fed and state grants
-student loan
-employment award
-university grants

Can Cornell 100% meet my financial needs? If so, would the only money that I have to pay each year be my efc and student loan?

I'm not sure you'll have loans if your income is below 75k. You will probably have a family EFC, expected student summer earnings, and work study.

if you do meet the no-loans income bracket, that just means you'll have mostly grants but you will still be eligible for work study and you will still have student contribution (from your savings and summer job) and parent contribution (from their savings and jobs)...

if you dont think you should work your first year/semester, then you then become eligible for government loans to cover that...

same thing with your student/parent contribution...

I know that the following is all the cost that cornell tries to meet:
-tuition
-student activities fee
-housing and dining
-books and supplies
-personal expenses

For tuition, cornell's grants would cover for it, probably as well as housing. But what about dining, books, and other personal things? Can I work with cornell to use my work/study earnings, summer savings or/and efc for everything else besides tuition and housing? Would just work/study be enough to pay for everything besides tuition and housing(suppose I earn minimum wage)?

I also have heard that Cornell can only guarantee housing for the first 2 years. If in the third year I have to find my own housing, will Cornell still be able to cover for it?
I'm asking a lot since I have to make sure that I can last through Cornell without having to take loans.

Cornell FA will cover all of your expenses, not just the expenses you pay to the school. This means food, rent (in your third and fourth years), books, etc.

So, Cornell will take all of your costs (tuition, housing, books, food, travel, misc. expenses, etc.) and subtract what you have to pay (EFC, summer savings, work study) and the rest should be all grants.

I noticed Cornell's website that the new initiative is to remove loans for students and of course for parent. But it never clearly stated how much my parents would have to pay. Is Cornell like some of the Ivys where there is zero contribution from parents if the earning is under a certain amount?
