How much do I put in for estimated resources available to education expenses?

Hey everybody!
I ED’d into an Ivy and have been wondering how to fill out the financial aid form.
One of the sections asks me to provide the amount available to me from a variety of sources (ie parents income/assets, student assets, etc.) and though my parents could theoretically pay for the full tuition, it would put an extremely heavy burden on them and would change their lifestyle quite dramatically. My full tuition for a year is close to $70 000 so would I put that under “from parents income/assets” or would I put a lower money that doesn’t meet the full tuition? I would very much appreciate financial aid for this school but I don’t want to lie about it either.

Did you run the Net Price Calculator to see an estimate of what they think you can/should pay?

Note: this seems very late to file for getting ED financial package with your possible acceptance. Did you file your CSS Profile last fall and just doing fafsa now?

I didn’t do my CSS profile last fall and I finished my FAFSA. I’m currently doing my CSS Profile as I have no idea about these things as an American citizen living abroad :frowning:

Before the internet, that would have been a valid excuse.

The colleges post requirements and deadlines for financial aid on the website. I am just trying to figure out how you are going to accept an offer without knowing your aid.

??
Didn’t you already accept your ED acceptance?

Did you run the NPC?

It doesn’t really matter what you put for that number. Just put an amount that your family would be more comfortable paying. This doesn’t affect your aid. You will NOT be given more money just based on THAT answer.
