I have a 34 superscore on the ACT, my subscres are
English 35
Math 30
Reading 34
Science 35
Although a 34 is a decent score for Penn, my math score does not seem to meet Wharton’s standards, how much do you think this will affect my application? Also, my parents want me to retake the ACT to try to get a 35, which would be very hard. How much do you think the difference between a 34 and a 35 matters?
They will notice the low math score and question your math ability. Are you good in your math classes? Are you in the highest math classes available to you at your high school? Have you taken the Math II subject test? Math is important for Wharton and you want to demonstrate that you are good at it. Either retake the ACT and focus on getting just the math up. A 34 versus a 35 doesn’t matter. Even a 33 would be better in my opinion if it means your Math score rose by at least two points.
I have an A+ in pre-calc and I am taking AB calc and AP stats next year. Haven’t taken Math II yet
