How much do the advance math courses count toward admission decisions?

<p>Currently I have finished all math up to linear algebra with all As. I am taking diffeq right now in the summer.and next year, I will take two more college class and get credits for them. They are advance algebra and algebra analysis... Please give me an idea how much this particular interest in mathematics will attract the colleges, thank you. </p>

2240 I will make it 2300 eventually.</p>

<p>Gpa 3.98 got a b in freshmen English because I am a foreign student.</p>

<p>Participated in a wide variety of competitions.</p>

County champion for two years.
Amc award of distinction for two years.
Amc school winner for two years.
Aime score of 6
Arml team high score</p>

USNCO local winner</p>

<p>Participated a summer research at Hopkins and have one published paper, not the first author though.</p>

<p>Playing badminton for school team as captain, and started a tournament raising money for kids in Uganda in my club.</p>

<p>Did jhu model united nation and won the outstanding delegate award</p>

<p>Started math club and started the math honor society.
Served the first year as the president.</p>

<p>Cannot get a paid job because I am a foreign student.</p>

<p>Also, I taught myself computer science, I can do numerous algorithms, such as those related to graphs, trees and dp problems.</p>

<p>Will be a National ap scholar by my last school year.</p>

<p>My family is not so wealthy to support my another four years, so I may need financial aid...

<p>I would think that taking extra math would help your application as it shows rigor in your curriculum as well as intellectual curiousity. How much of a boost would depend on the school and program you are applying to. If math is your passion then I would say you are well on your way.</p>
