<p>My friend has a 4.21 UC GPA at a good school, SAT 2s above 750, and a 2330 SAT, but his ECs are quite generic. No sports or leadership. what do you think his chances are at Berkley, UCLA, and SD, and also at Davis and Irvine(safeties).</p>
<p>Well, at Irvine and Davis that's fine. Probably UCSD too. Berkeley and LA, it matters more, but with those scores and GPA, he'll probably make it in.</p>
<p>He actually has a pretty good chance at those schools. He's pretty much in at those 2 safeties. UCLA is more iffy than Berkeley. I've seen a lot of people get into Berkeley and not UCLA. I'm [atleast somewhat] sure Berkeley will take him because of his awesome scores.</p>
<p>What about UIUC? I've heard that's pretty easy. Also keep in mind the major is engineering, which might be more competitive. However, he has 800 Math 2C and 236 PSAT which might help him if he wins something.</p>

<p>Berkeley's actually slightly more selective than UCLA. There are many people who get into UCLA, but not Berkeley. There are also many who get into both.</p>
