What do you guys do to stay fit? I've found that since entering college I haven't had the time/energy to exercise at all... :(

I'm with you. I've done a horrible job the last 3 semesters working out consistently. This spring I am going to try adding it into my schedule better. I have to go offcampus several days a week for my clinical assignment so I plan to keep workout stuff in my truck and stop by the Rec Center on the way back to the residence hall each night. We'll see how well it works...

I run 3 miles every weekday. Usually play basketball for about 1 1/2 hours 3-4 times a week as well.

I would go with my roommate or boyfriend to the gym every day for a long time...until finals hit. But I took dance classes at the activity center (non-credit course, like taking yoga at your local gym or something) and that kept me active.

You should find a buddy to go with it makes it easier.

I go about 2-3 times a week for about 1.5 hours.

basketball-3hrs a week if im lucky

I've been working out consistently for the past 2 years, about 4-5 times a week.
I go for about 45mins.
I find it's a great way to relieve school related stress.

The workout buddy thing isn't really a good idea. The people who are likely to have a workout buddy are likely to not go the gym that much. People who go to the gym a lot, have their routine down, and they don't want someone dragging them down while they're trying to do their workout.

6 days a week, 2-4 hours a day. I'm on a club sports team and we are a spring season sport. Hooray 11-1am practices!

I'm not in college but I exercise quite a bit every day. I typically run around 4 miles in the morning and then I have crew (rowing) practice in the afternoons!

30 minutes cardio 3x a week, strength training 2x a week (takes about 45 minutes for each routine)...I have to for my sport, I'd really rather not, though...I'm a very lazy person.

About the work out buddy being bad, it can be if you did the same stuff as them. But I do completely different stuff than my roommate and boyfriend. I just like having someone to go with because they motivate me to actually leave my apartment and go to the gym...which isn't something I like to do after a long day at school or if I'm just being lazy.

At my best, I run 2+ miles a day, Monday-Friday, as well as mild resistance training 3x a week. This was during the summer. I didn't have a workout buddy, just someone that walked with me to the gym. She'd do her own thing though.

During the semester, it was just running.

Now, that I am finished, I need a gym membership but Bally's sucks.

I try to get in at least an hour to an hour and a half of exercise a day, either at school (bike and shooting hoops) or at home (on the ellipse).

I have Cross Country practice Monday through Thursday and usually a meet on Saturday. I'll run or swim on Sunday, in addition to swimming for fun at least two times a week.

I think it's fun to go to the gym with friends. If you all go for an hour or so you can just do your own thing, and if you have a friend counting on you, you're more likely to go.

8-10 miles a day, 5 days a week. training for a marathon in winter sucks.

I think depending on what you do to train can make it so that a buddy is all but necessary. Ever tried to solo swim work outs every day? Misery loves company.

Plus, like everyone said. You don't really have to work out together. But you're both counting on each other to go, so even if you'd both be happier to just not go, neither admits it and you both go.

At least half and hour probably 4-5 days a week... I don't really want to become overweight

I lift almost everyday and occasionally run. When I first started college, I was real lazy though. It wasn't until mid sophomore year that I started making time to exercise. It's important that you stick to it, because it's very easy to fall out of the habit.

I used to go about 3 times a week for about half an hour, but last semester I just completely fell out of it and I didn't go to the gym ONCE. I do walk to class from my apt which is about 15 minutes each way, but this semester I am trying to lose weight so I have made it a goal to go to the gym 4x a week for 20 minutes starting out. I went this morning after my 8am (next class not til 11). I was dreading it but it was fun. I just did cardio. I am also going to start going to a free pilates class on campus next week, which is two days a week.
